LPT Introduces the LPT5 Medium Range Laser Projector.
In April of 2003 Laser Projection Technologies Inc. first introduced the LPT5 medium range [range up to 20' (4.5 Meters)] laser projector at the JEC show in Paris. This innovative laser projector design offered a unique laser projector enclosure with the optics and electronics separated by an active thermal cooling chamber (advertised as an active thermal cooling matrix). This chamber is actively cooled by a series of fans located at one end of the cooling chamber to keep the system at nominal operating temperatures in harsh shop environments. This design passes shop air across aluminum fins which are enclosed within the cooling chamber thus wicking the heat out of the system and passing it to the exhaust air of the system. The internal power supplies and other heat generating components are mounted directly to the opposite side of the aluminum extrusion that comprise the fin assembly within the cooling chamber. This design utilizes no filters of any kind and can be used in extremely harsh shop environments. LPT also exhibited the LPT5 laser projector at the SAMPE show in Long Beach CA in May of this year.
