LPT Receives US Patent (No. 7,372,558) for TOPO®.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VISUALIZING SURFACE ERRORS.

This revolutionary method takes point cloud data (from a 3D scanning device like the LPT100) and compares it to a design model to determine surface areas that do not match the design model. The surface errors are displayed on the scanned object as a glowing 3D template such as a TOPO-graphical image.

LPT signs distribution agreement with NEVA Technology as the exclusive distributor of LPT products in Russia.

NEVA Technology, a well known distributor of advanced metrology products in Russia has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with LPT this November. NEVA will distribute LPT laser projection systems and metrology products as manufacturing & measurement solutions in Russia and the CIS territories. NEVA will perform sales, service and application support for LPT products in the aforementioned regions. NEVA's primary offices are located in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Steve Kaufman, President & CEO of Laser Projection Technologies, Inc. commented on the new distributorship agreement, ' . . . and we are very honored to add NEVA Technology to our distribution network. NEVA is made up of a group of extremely competent engineering professionals that we believe will be able to bring LPT products to the Russian market with ease. LPT & Verisurf sign partnership agreement!

LPT and Verisurf entered into a partnership to develop products and technologies that will advance the science and capabilities of laser projection & high speed laser metrology.  This agreement brings together the resources of both companies with a common goal.  This alliance will allow both companies to focus on this task without distraction of the competing interests between hardware and software companies that claim that they 'work with everybody'.  Because of this level of focus and commitment, the two companies products have been successfully integrated in lightning time and are now being shipped to customers around the globe.  With a real time laser projector control mode that has measurement capabilities this technological breakthrough outstrips the meager capabilities of the competition hands down!  This powerful system is used for the development of laser projection paths that are either derived from a CAD model or directly measured from the as-built part or assembly.  Verisurf & LPT can be used for multiple applications such as a process development tool, assembly or part testing station, part verification, part or assembly inspection, multiple quality control applications as well as for the creation of the laser projection data files that are used by LPT RayTracer Operator on the production line.
